On 30th March 2015, West Hill Village Hall is launching an appeal to raise £8,000 towards an exciting programme of redecoration and general improvements to the Hall over the next two years.

West Hill Village HallWest Hill Village Hall is, in many ways, the hub of the village, hosting as it does, clubs, societies and events for hundreds of people of all ages throughout the year. The projected work will be to the benefit of all our users, both from the village and beyond: the first priority is to resurface the car park. With the help of grants from Ottery Town Council, East Devon District Council and Claire Wright (Devon County Council) and from Hall funds, the Trustees have raised £9,000 towards the £12,000 necessary to complete the work. It is hoped to schedule the car park resurfacing for this summer in order to take up the grant offers.

In addition to the car park, we look to improving facilities within the Hall itself: proposals include sound insulation, redecoration, new carpeting, curtaining and improved lighting. The Appeal, both to complete the funding of the car park and the contribute to the overall cost of refurbishment, will last until July 31st, 2015. All contributions will be gratefully acknowledged.
